our God's beautiful world

The farm in the morning, just before I went back to Hobart at the end of Easter break. Looked pretty cool with the fog sorta sticking around in clumps in the valleys. It always looks sparkly in the mornings cos of the dew and the bright sunlight.

The sky just the other night. A big pink streak across the sky which was otherwise still quite blue.

Burnie looking smokey the day I went back to Hobart. Dad and I went for a drive up to the Upper Burnie lookout but you couldn't see far. Instead, you could just see the sun pink and hazy through the woodsmoke and as far as the docks, where Burnie's characteristic container ships and piles of woodchips are. Not as pretty as Hobart, but it's an awesome little town for what it is, with the beach and the boardwalk and the surf club (redeveloped, with Fish Frenzy and a juice bar), not to mention the penguin viewing centre and cruise ships coming to visit, and we even now have Gloria Jeans! You should go there. Burnie is starting to happen :)

Does your farm have one of those cool barns full of hay? I remember from when I was a little tacker the barn at my rellies farm. It was full of hay and perfect for jumping/falling around in. But mum and dad heard about it and that was the end of it - too many snakes apparently.

Burnie goes off in October - for the Burnie 10. Haven't been up for a couple of years, but there is massive atmosphere, irrespective of a GJ presence, though the locals are, well, interesting - my sister had her 21st up there. Twas a good night.

Yeah, we got one of those. Called a 'shed' though, not a 'barn' :). What does GJ mean?
