Why I like Pete Murray

Well it should be 'why I love Pete Murray', cos for some unknown reason, I'm just really into him at the moment. Can't explain it. I always vaguely liked him when he was popular last year, but now when he started coming on Rage, I just loved his song, Better Days. So of course I taped it and watched it over and over and over! There's just something about him. Ok there's his looks, he's downright gorgeous, he has REALLY nice arms, and really deep-set eyes, and is extremely muscly, has a good body and all that... (listen to me, I sound teenagery). Oh, and there's one line in the Better Days music clip where he looks up, and his eyes sparkle.. ahem, yes. It's like he's so deadly serious, that he's just so interesting.

But also there's how withdrawn he is, he seems like he really doesn't want to be in the public eye, like he doesn't want to be loved and listened to by all these people. Cos his songs are so sad. They're a combination of blues/soul/rock. At his concert that we went to, he just didn't seem like he was in his element when he was performing, and I totally understand that, cos his songs are pretty heavy, not cheery stuff! (Really good concert though). So when the drunk girls in the audience started yelling stuff out to him about how 'sexy' he was and other more explicit stuff that can't be repeated, I couldn't help but feel sorry for him, cos that would've had to make him so massively uncomfortable! And of course I couldn't help but get slightly peeved at the aforementioned drunk girls...! I think he's more of a small audience and a guitar sort of person.

Most of all though it's his music... he sings with this tone that's so unique to him, it's nothing like others I've heard. And his high notes are so good. He sort of has a soft/rough sound to his voice too. The best of his, I think, are Better Days, Feeler, So Beautiful, Bail Me Out and Please. He just has the best sound, it's so good. Very catchy. His songs are just so gosh darn good!

So that's why I loves him. He just seems like such an interesting person, who actually sings about stuff that means something. And he's such a spunk! Even though he doesn't want to be thought of that way, so he says... He just has such a good sound.
